As a Business Systems Analyst with over 10 years in the technology space, one thing has always stood out to me, and that is the lack of inclusivity of women and
other minorities especially in the United States. Growing in my career, I find that I am usually the only woman or the only woman of colour in a room full of hundreds of IT professionals. It was quite easy to notice the gender gap. As I dived deeper into research, I soon found that the gap exists largely because of lack of awareness, representation and technical skills. I have navigated the tech space on my own without any guidance or blue print and I
have consistently thrived by honing my skills and teaching others along the way. Impacting knowledge has been one of my core strengths and I have done it freely at my work place in terms of knowledge transfer and in-house trainings. I figured it was time to extend this coaching beyond the work force. To give onto women and minorities what I never had, the gift of mentorship. Today, I am on a mission to bridge the gender gap in technology. Whether a business owner, a tech or non tech professional wanting to get into the technology space, I will be using this platform to provide free career coaching and mentorship in digital literacy, business analytics and agile methodologies, to empower more people of colour to improve themselves and impact society.
